Some episodes take place over Christmas time, but the entire anime gives off Christmasy vibes because one of the main characters, Himuro, emits snowstorms and even cute snowmen when he feels stressed or happy. He and his potential love interest are both quiet, shy introverts trying to work their way through the world. Their more outgoing colleagues and friends give them helpful pushes along the way, and it’s really cute to see.
The anime is a little slow and low stakes at times, focusing on the slow-building romance between the two main characters. But this makes it a great watch for any Hallmark fans who want to just relax and watch something sweet, without being disturbed by too much action, and avoiding all forms of violence.
In addition, the art style is just really pleasing to the eye, and at times some scenes are quite beautiful with their wintry themes.
For all these reasons, I personally recommend this as a great starting anime for any Hallmark viewer who has never watched an anime before. If you love Hallmark movies and TV series like When Calls the Heart, I think you’ll really feel invested and enjoy watching these characters as they make their way through a potential office romance.
