The anime adaptation of Blue Box (Ao no Hako) is set to debut today on Netflix. And with new anime comes new amazing songs, of course! This time around, the Blue Box ending theme Song is by Eve and is called Teenage Blue. Eve is a 29-year old Japanese singer-songwriter and Vocaloid producer who began his music career by performing covers of popular songs on Niconico.
Teenage Blue Lyrics (Blue Box Ending Theme Song)
How do you walk
Responsible for the future that lies ahead
It’s a smooth sailing
There was me who couldn’t feel anything
The usual intersection, across Hanadori
My breath, still dyed white, falls
Flying clouds passing overhead
I ran after it before it disappeared
Although I sometimes look away
Let’s go even if it takes a detour
Sharing the loud sounds
I remember the song we hummed together
I was in a daze
I was looking for a replacement for Goodbye.
The golden days until we become adults before we know it
I loved every moment
Without having time to look back
The words I couldn’t say are still
That’s how we become dyed in blue
It was a spring where time seemed to stop
Summer has moved forward a little bit
Osmanthus showing autumn
The sky on my way home from school announced winter.
Looking up at the distant sky
Let’s lean on each other
Stuff your cheeks with the stuffed meat
I remember all the days when we were fooling around
What I liked turned to dislike
What I gave up on
I pushed forward because it was right.
Even my baseless confidence
Everything was feeding me
Because nothing is meaningless
I’ll wipe the tears from the bottom of this blue and take this pain with me too.
There is no scene that I dreamed of
I still think about it
The expectations and regrets of that day are all connected.
Toward your straight eyes
I was in a daze
I was looking for a replacement for Goodbye.
The golden days until we become adults before we know it
I loved every moment
Without having time to look back
The words I couldn’t say are still
That’s how we become dyed in blue
That’s why I’m still holding on
I can walk
