It’s finally happening. One of the most popular Hallmark Christmas movies is getting a sequel. Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, and Paul Campbell will be starring in “3 Wiser Men And a Boy,” premiering this coming Christmas season.
Hynes and Campbell made the announcement in a joint post on their Instagram accounts and shared photos.
He also shared an adorable video. The video revealed that all three characters are returning, plus a much older “baby Thomas.”
“You would ask…and we would just smile 🙂 happy we’re here now 🤍 Christmas came early 🎄✨” Hynes wrote on one of his posts.
Walker also shared the posts on his own Instagram account.

The Movie Will Likely Feature More Dance Movies from the Trio, Based on the Synopsis
The original movie premiered in 2022. Back then, the trio of Hallmark hunks indicated that they’d be interested in making a sequel, but might prefer a different movie starring the three of them. Campbell said back in 2022: “The consensus was that a sequel would probably be a mistake only because it’s so difficult to rekindle that magic and tell a different story, but the same. We want to take the three of us — the three boys — and keep making different movies with the three boys. Reinvent ourselves every time. And so I think we can have a lot of fun.”
Obviously something changed, because they’re back for a sequel after all!
Variety reported that the sequel will be directed by Terry Ingram, and is written by Campbell, Kimberley Sustad and Rusell Hainline. The new movie will take place five years later, Variety shared.
The synopsis reads:
In a crazy turn of events, possibly brought on accidentally by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s (Walker) son Thomas’ (Miles Marthaller) school holiday musical steps down. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor (Hynes) and Stephan (Campbell). Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s (Margaret Colin) new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. In true Brenner brother fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they will never forget.
The new movie looks like a lot of fun, and with the storyline revolving around a musical, there’s no doubt that we’ll get some fun new dance scenes from the Hallmark trio.
The dance scene from the first movie was filmed in just one take. Who knows what we’ll get this year!
Hallmark Is Celebrating With a Special Marathon
Variety reported that Hallmark is celebrating the news with a special marathon on Friday, April 26. At 7 p.m., the network will air Hynes’ “It’s Christmas, Eve,” followed by “Christmas by Starlight” starring Campbell and Sustad, and ending with “Three Wise Men and a Baby.”
Jennifer Kramer, VP of Development at Hallmark Media, told Variety: “Viewers and critics alike fell for the charms of Paul, Tyler and Andrew as the Brenner brothers in Three Wise Men and a Baby. The one resounding thing we heard from them was that they wanted more. We are excited to deliver and then some with a story that is filled with more humor and, most importantly, more heart.”
The movie meant a lot to the stars. Campbell previously shared that he cried while filming the first movie.
